I have been a professional editor for over fifteen years. My experience spans every aspect of the publishing process, from author recruitment and manuscript evaluation to copyediting and proofreading. I began my editing career in the journals department of the International Literacy Association, where I was Senior Editor of an international journal for educators. Later I worked in-house for Information Today, a small press specializing in information sciences, where I was Associate Editor in the books division. My freelance editorial projects have included developmental editing, copyediting, proofreading, and translation from Russian to English. Many of my clients are scholars or academic publishers; I also work with fiction authors, commercial enterprises, and nonprofit organizations. Besides being an editor, I have been a university Russian language instructor and the manager of a public library.
